The billing unit number (BU Code), which identifies the consumer's location, is a four-digit number. Mahadiscom has many billing units, each of which is identified by a unique four-digit BU code. It is additionally known as the sub-division code.

Online- To change your name on the electricity bill online in MSEB, visit wss.mahadiscom.in/wss/wss and select the name change option. Upload all the copies of the required document and click on 'Ok' to change the name.

Offline- Visit your local electricity board office, request for a name change application form and pay the form fee (if applicable). Fill out the application form and submit it, along with the required documents. Wait for the authorities to verify your documents process the name change request.

In case of multiple ownership, SMS will be sent to the applicant on registered mobile number alongwith the web link (WSS portal), wherein the applicant will give the consent for name change and the No Objection Certificates (NOC) of other owners shall be uploaded within 60 days of receipt of application.
